What is Dungeons and Dragons?
Dungeons & Dragons is a cooperative storytelling game where players create characters and go on guided adventures together.
For kids and teens, it offers a structured, safe way to practice social skills like communication, turn-taking, and teamwork while building confidence and self-awareness.
What is the difference between a One Shot and a Campaign?
A One Shot is typically just a single contained session where there are often provided player characters, scenarios and a resolution for a range of players.
A campaign is a longer and more expandable story where players level up their characters, explore the world and change it based on their actions and deeds.
What Happens in a typical round of Dungeons and Dragons?
In Dungeons & Dragons, a turn follows a simple pattern: the dungeon master explains what’s happening in clear, concrete terms, the player characters chooses an action, they roll a die to see what happens, and then the result is described for the group
This predictable “listen, choose, roll, result” flow helps reduce uncertainty and gives a consistent structure that many autistic children find easier to follow and enjoy.
